Yeah, Obama won the US Presidential seat for the second term. Characteristically, congratulatory calls flooded from all regions, so did Prime Minister, David Cameron’s call.
Whatever pictures painted overtime about their relationship, Cameron’s friendship with Obama is not as spontaneous as they may like us to believe.
If you peer closer, you’d see on Cam’s table, a ‘restricted’ memo written by his aides advising him on what to talk about with the President.
The memo, headed ‘call to Obama Thurs 14.55’ and addressed to Cabinet members as well as the foreign policy team, reminds Mr. Cameron to ask him about Congress, Iran, Syria and the global economy and to ‘put down a marker for a Washington visit in May.’
I guess nobody is infallible after all. Every itinerary must be outlined even making call to a seeming close friend. Well, everything is possible in the line of duty.
